Finally, I finished a jewel. I wanted to incorporate a bit of the landscape that I see on my trail runs in the desert and in the mountains.

This seems so different to your more usual work. I am not sure about it to be honest. It is lovely to look at. But if I saw it away from your page, I'm not sure if I would get that it was your work straight away. Do you know what I mean? Although the colours speak of your work...
Hmm, food for thought for sure.

You know, Cath, I agree. In fact, I almost wrote something to that effect in the post. The piece is certainly less abstract than the other landscapes. It's a more literal approach, that's for sure. I think the fact that I hadn't painted in a while had something to do with it, but also, I just wanted to try something new.

Maybe not,,,maybe we just aren't used to seeing this style from you.
And it IS a beauty, well painted.
