Well, there won't be any more posts on here until probably the second week of October. We're headed to Europe, and there's just too much to do before we leave in a few days. I hope that I will find renewed inspiration on our trip. Thanks for looking at my stuff. Please check back in October.

Oh hell, what's the use? I meant to do a postcard painting today, but I worked on this commissioned work instead. I only put it on here as proof of it's existence, and for the excuse of, again, not having a postcard painting for the day. This piece is diptych, acrylic on wood, measuring 18"x54" and it's not for sale.

Do you hear that? That's the sound of hearts breaking all over the world. (note the sarcasm) That's right, no painting today. I had big audition and I had to study my sides. Check in again tomorrow.

Gettin' crazy with the cheese wiz on this one. It's acrylic on canvas, and 9"x12", so it'll fetch a bit more. Let's say, $120.00, but for you, I'll do it for $119.99. That's how I am. That's how I roll. Ya dig?

I've been doing these little postcards a bit later in the day. It makes it more difficult to do, I think, when I'm tired, and have been painting all day. Anyway, here is today's. 5x7, acrylic on fiberboard.

Today's offering. 5"x7" acrylic and a "sharpie" marker on fiberboard. I wanted to dip my toe into monochromatic waters. $70.00.

Ry Cooder's song, "Cancion Mixteca" is a very pretty song. I only understand maybe 5 words of the whole thing; "triste" (means sad). Why do I bring this up? Well, for starters, I'm listening to it right now, and I find myself connecting with music of the more depressing variety while I paint. I don't think my paintings are sad, though. They used to be a whole lot darker (both literally and figuratively) than they are now. Maybe I'm a happier person. Maybe I took a friend's advice and lightened my palette up a bit to paint "happier". Maybe it's a bit of both. It still doesn't change the fact that I gravitate towards the music that my father would say, "really makes you want to cry in your beer".

This is acrylic on a 5x7 particle board. 70 bucks gives it a new home.

I really like this song.

You're absolutely right. This does look a lot like yesterday's posting. So what of it? It's 5x7 acrylic on fiberboard and it's the same deal; $70, or this and another of the same size for $120. A bargain at any price!

This is a study for a larger commission. 4x6 acrylic on wood. A friend's mother recently had some very kind words for the work on my blog, (I blush), but she also suggested I put the price on here so people know from the get-go if they're interested. Well, good advice! Here ya go:
$70.00 or two for $120.00.

I haven't posted something in four days. I'm bad. I was doing pretty well there for a while, but then we had guests in from out of town. I know; excuses, excuses. So, here we are, back at it again. This jewel is 4x6 and acrylic on wood.
