Say whaaaaa? Yes. A departure of sorts. We returned from our trip to Italy and D's uncle inspired me with his incredible work. This is a dead tree we saw on a walk with the family. I was struck by the lonliness of the image. Now, not to fret, my blog will not become an Italian slideshow, but then again, what would be the problem with that? The Piazza San Marco in Venice, and the Duomo in Florence brought tears to my eyes, and don't even get me started on the Uffizi. (7 hours and we barely scratched the surface) I was completely inspired by the trip and all that I saw. I can only hope that the inspiration traslates to my work. Wish me luck.
