30"x 40"
Mixed media on stretched canvas

This is a commissioned piece for a woman I went to grade school with back in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.  A long story, too long to go into here.  The color palette is a bit different than I've done recently.  I've worked in the gold leaf, and even a bit of gauze that is visible upon close inspection.  There was a concern of physical weight of the piece, so I didn't go too crazy with texture, trying instead to make what I did put on the canvas, really matter.

I would be very happy to receive this if I had sent you a commission. Great stuff.

Wow, Beautiful. I think I have just discovered my "New favorite painter.'
Lots of talent, and I have only browsed this one page. thank you for sharing. Your paintings reflect much of your passions and views, and that alone is moving.
