Dream Image #1
24" x 24"
Acrylic on wood

Well, here it is.  The painting I dreamt about last week.  To be honest, it was better looking in my dream.  At least, I remember it being a better painting in my dream.  But isn't that how it always goes? You awaken from a nightmare, scared out of your mind, only to be baffled at breakfast the next day by what scared you the night before.  When I referred to the notes I had made the morning after,  I realized that the top of the painting was white in my dream, but when I painted it, I remembered it being a rich chestnut-y brown.  I put the texture in there though, from the dream.  For the most part, it's an accurate depiction of what I dreamt... for whatever that's worth.

The dream painting is a departure from earlier work. It is wonderful to dream of paintings in color. you are having a great experience with these.
