"Outside the Box"
24"x 30"
Mixed media on stretched canvas

I've branched out a bit with the color on this piece, namely, the cadmium orange, and continued down the path with the gauze and texture. I've used the orange color a lot in my older work, but I've gotten away from it for quite a while.

I always enjoy orange - and wish artists used it more. The blue marks are so dramatic without being 'pushy'. Love it.

Babs, I wrote you on your blog, but just in case you didn't read it, thank you so much for the mention. I'm touched... truly.

Wow, Jeff ~

I'm so impressed that you visited my blog and then went the extra mile to comment on my latest work. I so appreciate that. It can sometimes by difficult to carry on without good critical feedback.

Now, about your work. Holy Schamoly, you do some great work. I don't even know where to begin. The color is way cool. I wish I could reach out and touch.

I'll check in frequently to spy on what you're up to.

Thanks again.

Love the colour and smoothness of the paint, i also like the simplicity of the symbolism.
